Since I never got around to posting third or fourth quarter goals, and we're now most of the way through November, I thought I would set a few for these last few weeks of 2017 and just post them now. Then come the beginning of 2018, I'll start over with the usual quarterly goals. So here we go. 1. Walk at least two miles every day. Thanks to the newest member of the England household, this one should be a breeze. 2. Finish three scarves.
I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here, but I've started a couple of scarves, and I would like to finish those and one more before the end of the year. 3. Finish the paintings for the living room. Remember all those paintings I've been working on over the course of the year? Yeah, I haven't touched them since June. So I still have a fair chunk of the last two to go. It's time to finish them off and get them hung up. 4. Get both blogs back up and running. This one is technically already done since this is my second full week back blogging here and over on Contented Comfort, but I'm not going to count it as a success unless I can keep everything chugging along on schedule the whole rest of the year at least. 5. Return to work drafting Icarus. Unless I get back to writing, nothing will ever get done. So I intend to get back to drafting my next novel well before 2017 is done. If I manage to get on a good roll, who knows, I might even finish the draft before New Year's. 6. Return to work on the grammar and creative writing textbooks. I might not be working for a school anymore, but I still think there should be easy to understand and fun textbooks available. So, I plan to keep chipping away at the textbook projects over the next year or so. 7. Make Lily a sweater. Lily is not only a short hair dog, but she lacks the second coat most breeds have to give them better temperature tolerance. At the same time, she's rather large and has a LOT of energy, so skimping on walks due to cold isn't an option. So I figure using a bit of my yarn stash to make sure she can stay warm on those needed daily walks would be worthwhile. 8. Brainstorm the 2018 bath and body lines for Contented Comfort. I determined the characters, series, or concepts I would use for inspiration for this years line around the end of 2016. This meant I was able to take the first few months to order any new molds, cutters, and fragrances I needed and then take my time designing and manufacturing each fragrance over the course of a week or so leading up to Con Kasterborous. This made 2017's "manufacturing season" much less stressful than any year before, so I want to recreate that more relaxed schedule for 2018. Those are my goals for the last five weeks or so of 2017. What are yours?

Love your goals and your energy! My goals are to get more exercise, anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour a day, and to drink more water. My kidneys aren't very happy, and I hear exercise is good for them. I would also like to get back into writing. But I don't have a plan for that one yet. E-hem! ~Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
